COVID-19 Policy as of 30/9/21

Due to the current situation with COVID-19, we have had to change the way we operate to minimise the risk of spreading the infection and protect our staff and clients. We have successfully completed an Infection Control and Prevention course which covers COVID-19 so that we can continue to work as safely as possible for both our clients and staff. We will also carry out a COVID19 risk assessment too (please contact us if you wish to view this as it will be site/booking specific)

We are speaking regularly with Telford & Wrekin Council's Environmental Health Department and have agreed on these new measures below. These are in addition to our normal T&C's

EQUIPMENT HIRE

OUTDOORS/GARDEN HIRES

We offer some soft play items for outdoor hires to private gardens, they must be kept dry and under cover and a £50 damages deposit will be added to all bookings. We are no longer taking advance bookings for inflatables outside unless it is for a last minute booking and the weather is favourable. Outdoor hires are April-Sept.

  • We must be able to get the equipment to your garden directly from the street. We cannot bring the equipment through your house or garage. We need at least 4ft space to bring the trolley through.
  • Please ensure children/pets are kept inside the house whilst we set up and when we return to pack away. We will give you an extension lead to plug inside your property to power any blower fans.

INDOOR SOFT PLAY HIRES AT HOME

  • Our soft play sets are strictly for indoor use only (unless you have hired our outdoors soft play which states its suitable for outdoor use) and must not be taken outdoors.
  • Items will be delivered to you for you to set up yourself. We will provide mats if you have selected 'indoor - hard surface' as the flooring type. if you have carpet or rugs then mats are not required.. We will deliver items to your doorstep and will not enter your home (unless to set up large items as agreed). When we collect, we ask that you place all items in a pile near your front door or in your porch.

Payment is required in full via BACS on or before 9pm of the night before your booking or cash on delivery.

We will no longer issue you with a paper copy of our disclaimer and ask for a signature on delivery. We will be using an electronic disclaimer.

You must cancel/postpone your booking if you or anyone in your household becomes unwell with Coronavirus symptoms or has tested positive within 14 days of the booking date.

You must cancel/postpone your booking with us if anyone in your household has been told to isolate or is awaiting a PCR Covid test result following a positive lateral flow test.

If someone in your household has had Coronavirus symptoms do not make a booking until at least 14 days after the day the symptoms started (for more advice on this please click HERE).

If during the hire period, there has been a bodily fluid spillage such as vomit, urine on the equipment, you must inform us before we arrive to collect it so that staff can wear the correct PPE for collection.

Entertainment. - Face painting, balloon modelling etc..

  • Glitter Tattoos, Hair Braiding, Balloon Modelling We are now taking bookings for outdoors and indoors for these services. From 19th July staff are not legally required to wear a mask indoors. Staff have chosen not to wear masks for work because it hampers interaction with the children when they cannot see their facial expressions and makes it hard for them to hear them too, however if you prefer our staff to do so then please ask and we will be happy to do wear one. All staff have been double vaccinated and will be carrying out lateral flow tests as least twice a week plus on the morning of your booking. Staff will continue to sanitise hands and equipment between clients for the foreseable future.
  • Face Painting/Festival Glitters -We are now offering these services both indoors and outdoors for private parties and corporate events/fun days.

To allow for extra sanitation between clients, we have reduced the number of people we can paint from 15 an hour to 10, so the maximum number we can paint now at a 2hr party is 20. We are offering designs on the forehead and around the eyes only - no full face designs or those around the nose and mouth area for the time being. We will continue to use a clean sponge per person and are now adding an extra disinfection step to our brush cleaning regime between each person comprising of: clean water for each person followed by a disinfectant bath and two step rinse. Chair will also be sprayed with IPA alcohol at the start and end of the session and clients will be asked to sanitise their hands before getting in the chair. Artist will clean their hands with anti viral skin wipes between each client. From 19th July staff are not legally required to wear a mask indoors. Refunds on booking fees - A 20% booking fee is applicable to all bookings with us. Payment of this fee reserves the item for you and makes it unavailable for anyone else to book. It also goes towards our administration time to process your booking and also fees that PayPal charge us for processing your payment. If you wish to cancel your booking with us for any reason we will retain the booking fee to compensate for our losses as above. The exceptions to these three instances as follows-

  • 1). Fantasy Castles are unable to fulfill your booking due to staff sickness/staff isolating or awaiting a PCR test result.
  • 2). Heavy, prolonged rain is forecast for the hire period or the wind gust speed above the safe limit we can install inflatables/tents at.(see main t&c's below)
  • 3). You cancel the booking because you or someone in your household has Coronavirus symptoms, a positive test result, is awaiting a PCR test result following a positive lateral flow test or has been asked to isolate within 10days of the booking date. We will refund your booking fee minus £5 which we will keep to cover admin and paypal charges.

If you are rearranging your booking to another date due to any of the reasons above we will do this for you at no extra charge and carry over any monies already paid to the future date. You are also welcome to 'bank' any monies paid against a future date up to 6mths in advance if you havent decided on a date to move to.

If the Government make changes that mean we are not allowed to operate we will offer a credit for the amount paid to us for use on another booking up to 6months from the date of your original booking.

Cleaning & Disinfection

For the safety of our staff, we have been advised by Environmental Health not to clean/disinfect the bouncy castle, inflatable or soft play items when we collect from you. They will be packed away and quarantined for a minimum of 48hrs. Our inflatable manufacturers have also advised us that the PVC used is treated with antifungal and antibacterial properties which inhibit bacteria and viruses which cause colds and flu.

Inflatables: When we arrive to set up the equipment, we will 'fog' the equipment using a single step, 30sec fast acting solution which complies to BSEN13697. Visibly soiled items will be deep cleaned using a steamer and bleach solution at our base prior to delivery. Soft Play and other items will be sanisted at our base and stored in protective bags for delivery for you to unpack at your home.

We have also carried out training in Infection Control & Prevention which includes COVID-19 and the certificate can be viewed HERE along with other relevant certificates.

Our staff are routinely tested for Covid every 3-5 days as well as on the morning of your booking. They will also sanitise their hands before and after attending your premises. All staff have been double vaccinated.
