- Face Painting/Henna - We do not allow children who have been face painted or with fresh henna tattoos to use our equipment unless they have been painted by Fantasy Castles Face Painters. This is due to permanent staining which can occur from certain brands/colours. There are so many different brands available now that we cannot test every one and every shade for staining. We have tested our own soft play and inflatables with our face paints and know that they are safe with our equipment. If you choose to disregard this warning and we discover our equipment has been permanently stained or requires additional cleaning due to face paint/henna, we reserve the right to charge you for replacement items, loss of hire and/or specialist cleaning. Soft Play can cost £300+ and Inflatables from £1000+ to replace. By accepting our terms and paying your booking fee you are agreeing to pay any charges arising from staining. If when we arrive to set up, we discover you are having a face painter from another company we reserve the right to refuse hire of the equipment as per our terms above and retain your booking fee.
- A responsible person age 18yr or above must supervise the equipment at all times.
- No persons who are visibly intoxicated through alcohol, drugs or any other intoxicating substance are to use the equipment or supervise the use of it.
- Our equipment must be kept secure at all times and not left unattended.
- Do not allow anyone to be on the inflatable during inflation or deflation as this is DANGEROUS.
- Climbing, hanging or sitting on walls of the inflatable is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed.
- Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step as a child could easily bounce off the inflatable and get hurt. The step is there to assist users in getting on or off. Make sure the mats at put back around the step should they move.
- Ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems is allowed on the equipment or indeed any Child who is feeling unwell.
- Ensure that an area of 4ft feet around the unit is completely clear and that safety mats remain in position. Ensure that the vents to the fan are kept clear and that children do not go around the back of the castle. The fan suction is very strong and objects such as balloons and clothing could be sucked against it causing injury and/or the inflatable to rapidly deflate.
- Outdoor hires. We hire a small selection of inflatables and soft play outside April-August only. We deliver 8am-12noon and collect between 4pm and 7pm. We do not offer an overnight hire option. We try to ensure you have the equipment for the longest time possible and usually our first delivery will be our first collection and our last delivery will be our last collection. We will ask on the booking form what time your actual party is so that we can ensure we have everything set up ready in time.
We need clean, flat REAL grass (no slopes) so that we can peg down the inflatable at all the anchor points. We cannot install on artificial grass, mud, gravel or if the ground is boggy and waterlogged. Please make sure you have enough space for the equipment. (see the SIZE tab on the item for details). We can install on concrete (no tarmac) using a thunderbolt system and permission from the land owner must be sought in advance of the booking. there is a £5 extra fee for this type of installation. We cannot bring inflatables through your house so will need access to your garden via a gate etc. Equipment must be in a private, enclosed garden, we cannot set up on public land or in communal gardens. We cannot go up/down more than 3 steps due to health and safety and will need to park our van close to where we are setting up.
- Indoor hires - wet castles policy. If you have booked an indoor party and have booked the following inflatables between the months of April and August please be aware that these units may have been out on hire outside the day before your booking as they are specific units we allow for outdoor hires as well as indoor hires. Toddler slide, adult bouncy castle, blue slide combi castle and disco bouncy castle. If the inflatable has gotten wet or excessively muddy on the previous hire we reserve the right to replace your chosen inflatable with another of the same value or more. This is to prevent any possible water damage to the venue flooring and also we wouldn't expect you to receive a dirty or wet castle off us. We take great pride in ensuring all our inflatables are clean and dry for our clients as you would expect. We will contact you the night before your booking if we will be sending a replacement inflatable.
- Soft Play hired for outdoor use must be kept under cover such as a gazebo or similar and brought inside if it rains. Water will penetrate the foam inserts and ruin the soft play. Any items collected in a wet condition will result in a loss of the deposit. Soft Play/mats can also get very hot in direct sunlight so even on nice days they must be under cover.
- If it rains during the hire period, please remove the users from the inflatable. If it becomes wet on the jumping area it will be very slippery. Please leave the inflatable switched on to prevent water collecting inside it. (The cables and blower are waterproof). After the rain has stopped you can dry off the bed with a towel and begin using it again. (Bubbling is normal)
- If you have hired the PA system/disco lights please bring them inside straight away as they are not waterproof.
- WEATHER: If the wind speed/gust speed is forecast to be above 19mph during the hire period and/or if heavy or prolonged rain is forecast on the morning of your booking, we reserve the right to cancel the booking – a full refund of booking fee will be given in this instance. Wind speeds can change throughout the day and it is the hirers responsibility to turn the inflatable off if wind speeds/gust speeds go over 24mph. An anemometer and wind record sheet will be provided on occasions where blustery conditions are forecast.
- Inflatables with slides – please ensure users go down the slide feet first and one user at a time.
- Please ensure that Children are not attempting somersaults and are clothed appropriately (long sleeved trousers/tops to prevent friction burns) and that they don’t have anything in their pockets – phones, keys etc.
- If the inflatable is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains.
- In the event that the blower stops working, please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately. Make sure the blower tube has not come undone or something has not blown onto and is obstructing the blower. In the event that it overheats, or loses power switch the blower off at the mains, then switch it back on again 1 or 2 minutes later, and it should restart. If it does not, inform us straight away.
- No smoking, no pets, barbecues, foam, sand, bubbles, water fights on or near the equipment. Water can make the pvc slippery and dangerous and we may have the item booked for an indoor hire the following day so please do not wet it on purpose. Extra charges of £20-100 will apply to items which have been deliberately wet or soft play/electrical items not brought indoors when raining.
- Always ensure that the equipment is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of children using it. Try to avoid large and small children from using it at the same time.
